I wasn't at all familiar with the EZ-Reach keyboard, so I visited the TypeMatrix home page to eyeball the pictures. Looks interesting, but I don't think I'd choose it over my Kinesis, despite the lower price.

[...] To sum up my experience with the TypeMatrix on Mac and Windows: I originally intended to use the TypeMatrix with my Mac at home, and I’m now happily using it at work and is back to my Apple keyboard. I had read a few posts that indicated that life with the TypeMatrix on a Mac might include a few hickups (the Alt-key sometimes “gets stuck” electronically), but these problems made the keyboard unusable on my Mac.
Hi Martin,

After the first few weeks, I have been using the TypeMatrix at work on a Windows XP machine rather than on a Mac, so haven't really been that bothered about re-mapping it.

While I used in on my Mac I simply used OS X 10.4's Keyboard & Mouse System Preferences Panel to swap the modifier keys around like on any other PC keyboard (I think it the "Option" (aka Alt)key with the "Command" key but I always get confused..

There used to be lots of remapping utilities around but to my knowledge there aren't any good ones that still work with 10.4..

.. and no I haven't heard of any specific keyboard layouts for Macs. Sorry.

How do you remap your control keys (ctrl, alt, and apple)?

I mostly use my left control keys (ctrl, alt, and apple), and the left side ctrl and alt are in the correct positions, however, I still haven't found a good mapping for the left side apple key.

(I'm also using the 2030 with dvorak layout)

On a different note, has anyone come across a mac keylayout dedicated the TypeMatrix?
