New Site Feature: Unlock Code Database

After over a decade as an independent software vendor, it is hardly surprising that the number of people who lose their unlock codes is rising steadily.

Up to now, we have always handled this by hand. Recently, however, the fun has gone out of finding the purchase in our database, finding the unlock code, re-send.. Yawn :-)

What’s more, given that we are only human, this often meant that you had to wait for a couple of hours or occasionally even a day or two (Ok, this is an exaggeration) before you got your codes.

This is why, I’ve taken some time out of writing Macintosh shareware and have built an online tool that will send you the codes immediately. This should offer you a better and faster service and allow us to spend more time answering less routine emails and improving our products for you.

The Unlock Code Database is fed in real-time, so you should be able to get your codes out of it as soon as you’ve made your purchase.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to transfer the records from our (now defunct) EURO store, or from our Kagi sales into the database. I’ll see how successful this first iteration of the tool is and might spend some extra time to import the older data into the database in the future..
