Hit List Integration

Potion Factory’s The Hit List is a popular to-do list manager that has gained a loyal following. Vitamin-R features a direct integration with The Hit List that works as follows:

• when you are asked to specify your objective for the next time slice, you can drag one or more tasks from The Hit List into the text field a hyperlink will be created to link from Vitamin-R to the task in The Hit List
• clicking on the hyperlink will bring you straight back to the corresponding task in The Hit List
• the hyperlink will remain clickable in your Vitamin-R log for future reference.
• when the time slice is logged as “completed” (in the “Rate your time slice” step), the task will automatically be marked as completed in The Hit List

You can switch off the automatic completion marking in Vitamin-R’s Preferences dialog:

You can also copy and paste an action into the objective field, but you need to make sure that you have the entire action – not just the text of the action – selected in The Hit List.

You can edit the hyperlink text to your liking, or you can add additional text to the objective field. As long as the hyperlink is present somewhere in the objective text field, Vitamin-R will find it.
