Free Upgrades

Version 5 of Better File Rename is a paid upgrade, but it is free for:

  • owners of a forever upgrade of the Rename product or the tool series
  • owners of the Rename product or the tool series who purchased their product or upgrade on or after the 1st January 2006

All other customers will need to purchase an upgrade to version 5.

How to get your new codes?

Customers who have:

  • purchased a forever upgrade
  • purchased the product after the 22nd of March 2007

You can simply download the product from the web site and install it. The tool will recognize automatically that you are entitled to the upgrade; you need not do anything special.

Some customers who have purchased forever upgrades were issued with older codes and the automatic upgrade mechanism will not work for them. In this case, please follow the instructions below.

Customers who:

  • purchased the product between the 1st January 2006 and the 22nd of March 2007

Please use our unlock code database to obtain your new codes.

Qualifying Product

You qualify to purchase an upgrade from this page if you have previously purchased any version of Better File Rename for Windows, either on its own or as part of a bundle or a promotion.
