You can now drag & drop the files you wish to rename from the Finder into the preview list on the left-hand side, or you can press the "Add Files..." button at the bottom of the preview list to bring up a file dialog. 2) Using the Finder's Contextual Menu This startup method is described in detail in the Quick Start Guide. 3) Using the Hot Key combination Select the files you want to rename in the Finder. Hold down the Command and the Control key and press the 'A' key. 4) Drag & dropping files onto the application icon You can also select the files in the Finder and then drag them onto the A Better Finder Attributes 4 application icon; the dialog will open and show the dragged files in the preview list. If you like this method of starting the tool you may want to place the application icon in the Mac OS X dock You can save a set of renaming options to a new independent application called a "droplet". Dragging files from the Finder onto such a droplet will automatically apply its rename settings to these files. |
