Burst Notes has no preferences window. Its few settings are commands in the command window, most of them collected under Settings, which you can drill into from any level. Each setting shows its current value on the right of the row; press Return to change it.

The global keyboard shortcut

Set Global Keyboard Shortcut lets you record a new shortcut for summoning the command window. The default is Command-Shift-B. Shortcuts are recorded by key position, so the one you choose keeps working when you switch keyboard layouts, and the recorder shows it with the characters of the layout in use. Combinations that macOS or the Burst Notes editor already use, such as Command-C, are refused.
