Selecting files
The ways of getting files and folders into File Multi Tool: drag and drop into the file list or onto the application icon, the + button, the Open command, the Finder context menu and its keyboard shortcut.
File Multi Tool offers several ways of selecting the files you want to process:
- drag the files and folders into the file list of the main window
- drag them onto the application icon in the Dock or in the Finder
- click the
+button under the file list, or chooseOpen…in theFilemenu - right-click the files in the Finder and choose
File Multi Tool 7…from the context menu; the service has to be switched on once, see installation - press the keyboard shortcut you have assigned to that service in System Settings, also described on the installation page
Folders can be dropped like files. Whether their contents are processed depends on the Process:
checkboxes at the bottom of the window.
