Installing the Application

Media Location Tagger requires macOS 13.5 Ventura or later and runs natively on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Installation

1. download the latest version from the website
2. once the download has finished, the disk image will open automatically and you’ll be presented with a Finder window
3. drag & drop the Media Location Tagger application icon onto the Applications folder icon
4. eject the disk image
5. double-click the Media Location Tagger icon in your Applications folder to launch it

Media Location Tagger is signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS may briefly verify the application the first time you open it.

Permission Prompts on First Use

Modern versions of macOS ask for your consent the first time an application accesses your Desktop, Documents or Downloads folders, removable drives, network volumes or iCloud Drive. When Media Location Tagger first opens files in one of these locations, macOS shows a permission dialog on its behalf — click Allow so that the application can read and write your files.

Uninstallation

Media Location Tagger can be uninstalled simply by dragging its application icon from the Applications folder into the Trash.
