Trial Mode and Unlocking
The A Better Finder Rename trial renames 10 files at a time. How to buy a license, enter the unlock code, fix a rejected code and recover a lost one.
A Better Finder Rename is free to download and try. In trial mode it is fully functional with one restriction: only the first 10 file names of each rename are changed. When a rename stops at 10 files, the program shows:

Unlocking the full version
- Buy a license from the publicspace.net web store or choose
A Better Finder Rename 12›Buy from our Web Store… - You receive an email with your unlock code and an unlock link
- Click the link in the email, or choose
A Better Finder Rename 12›Enter Unlock Code…and paste the code exactly as it appears in the email
The program confirms with Successfully unlocked, and the 10-file limit is gone.
If the code is rejected, check that it was copied completely and without extra spaces, and that it is a version 12 code: codes for versions 11 and earlier are not valid for version 12. See migrating from version 11 and upgrading from an earlier version.
Mac App Store edition
The same program is sold on the Mac App Store as Better Rename, with an in-app subscription instead of a one-time license. Licenses are not interchangeable between the two editions: a web store unlock code does not unlock the App Store edition and an App Store purchase does not unlock the web store edition.
